About Jasmine
Hello, I’m Jasmine! I discovered the power of nutrition when suffering with my own health concerns and I was left to believe that I would always feel this way. I started reading and researching every day and found that through diet alone I could heal many of my health issues. I slowly began to feel better and stronger and got myself back to feeling my best. Once I had seen the power of food on my own health I was determined to help others and decided to study a Master of Science in Nutritional Therapy. I am now proud to be able to help others with their health and give guidance to a healthy way of living and healing, through diet, supplementation, lifestyle changes and mindfulness support.
I have a variety of interests in Nutrition Science but my specialism lies in digestive health problems, women and children’s health. I am fascinated by how changing a childs diet and adding in specific supplementation can strongly impact their mental health, behaviour and brain chemistry. Women's health is very complex from hormonal imbalances to fertility, post-partum, menopause and more. There are a myriad of hormones in our body that impact our health often affecting the digestive system and being an underlying cause of inflammation. Your gut is your second brain so digestive health is often a large part of the missing puzzle when it comes to health issues. I have found that when we heal the gut almost everything else starts functioning optimally again.
I am also a mother of two so teaching children from a young age how to take care of themselves through nutrition is a passion of mine. If we can change the way the younger generation sees health then we can change future generations and begin to slowly heal the chronic health epidemic we face today.
My Philosophy
I believe that not every symptom is purely from physical distress but can also be brought on from mental health imbalances such as anxiety and depression. My University dissertation was on the gut-brain connection and the power this has on chronic health concerns today. The mind body connection is truly fascinating and unfortunately stress plays an important role on our health. The way you eat can impact the brain in a negative or a positive way and if we feed it the nutrients it needs you will start to flourish not only physically but mentally too.
My aim is to provide the education and tools you need to make effective and sustainable changes no matter where you are right now. Whatever your goals may be, I am here to support you.
I look forward to working with you on this healthy and happy journey!
